Sony’s PlayStation 5 firmware update is now live, allowing for the installation of an SSD. The company has also announced the release date for its upcoming console, which will be out on September 7th.

To properly use this functionality, an update for the DualSense controller will be required, which will be released tomorrow.

- The Control Center may now be completely personalized, enabling users to choose which controls to conceal or reveal at the bottom of the screen.
- The Game Base in the control center has been improved, making it simpler for players to read or send notes to friends and parties.
- Separate game tiles will now appear on the dashboard for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game.
- Subscribers to PS Now have the option of choosing between 720p and 1080p video resolutions for game streaming.
- When a player completes tasks in a faster time or with a better score, auto recording of personal best videos will automatically record a video clip.
- Enhancements to the PS Remote Play software, including the option to utilize a mobile connection when Wi-Fi is unavailable. To assist with mobile data consumption, players may also select their video quality for mobile data streaming.
- PlayStation 4 Console Improvements – Players may now see their PlayStation 5 trophies in their profile and trophy lists on the PlayStation 4. This also enables PlayStation 4 users to see the trophies earned by other PlayStation 5 players on any system.
- The option for party owners to dissolve a complete party without having to remove individual party members is the last feature.
Sony also announced that a new update would be available next week on Thursday, September 23, enabling users to see Share Screen on the PlayStation App. Join a party audio chat with someone playing on their PlayStation 5, then ask them to start a Share Screen broadcast via the PS App. Only PlayStation 5 users will be able to use this function.
